The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ annual meeting is an opportunity for Bulletin stakeholders to engage with leading science and security experts on the most important issues facing the planet. Preceding the Bulletin’s annual dinner, the meeting will open with remarks by Executive Director, Rachel Bronson on the state of the Bulletin, including goals achieved in 2017 and plans for 2018. Attendees will then move into small concurrent discussions on topics of nuclear risk, climate change, and emerging technologies, led by members of the Bulletin’s Science and Security Board, and its Board of Sponsors. The following day, the Board will begin private discussions to set its iconic Doomsday Clock, and will announce its decision in January 2018.
